Please leave all overcoats canes and top hats with the doorman
This is the second project we did for Advanced Motion Graphics Class. It was a Music Visualization project, where we were given very little guidelines on what we could and could not do, which was nice for a change. All that really mattered was that it had to be 30secs and that the graphics were to go with a song… so here is my version of “There’s A Good Reason Why These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven’t Thought Of It Yet” by Panic! At the Disco. Enjoy!
The Iwasaki Okiya in 3DS Max
Yay~ I can now post this to my blog (since I just managed to get the vimeo video to work)
Here is my much delayed 3DS Max Final Project from Last Christmas.
There is a glitch at the end where I had some problem with my texture that I couldn’t fix in time… and I would of, however I don’t have 3DS Max so I can’t… Anyway, enjoy!
Advanced Motion Graphics
So the first month of the new year is finally over! It’s been a crazy month, and getting back into the class cycle was difficult for me, since I had the chance to go home, halfway across the world, for Christmas. Anyway! All that is in the past now. In AMG we had two main projects. The first was a trans-demographic project, in which we had to pick a topic/brand and advertise the product to a demographic other than our own (which was really difficult… but the difficulty lay in picking a good product to advertise…) Anyway, I ended up doing Adidas running shoes, and the demographic I was targeting was male sportsmen, or more specifically, runners. So, enjoy!
Digital Video Preview
Helloooo~
This month’s pretty much over (when it comes to classes) so I’ve actually handed all my projects in. I’ve got a final version of my video on a DVD but haven’t tried to put it on my computer yet, so here’s a preview. Sneak peak if you will =) Enjoy!

An Intro to 3DS Max
Finally! An update. For the past couple months, I’ve been in classes which are 2 or 3 continuous months instead of the usual one month. This update is for the 3D class I’ve been in since October. The project we’ve been working on is an architectural project – to recreate either a currently existing building, or to create a building from a body of writing. For instance, I’m recreating the Okiya (Japanese Geisha House) from a book called “Geisha of Gion” written by Mineko Iwasaki. A classmate of mine is rebuilding the Temple Mount from the information in the Bible. Quite interesting. Month one was mostly learning how to model. In the second month they showed us texturing and lighting, and this month, we’ve been learning about animating and other tips and tricks. It’s quite difficult because pretty much none of us have used 3DS Max before, so to have to create a finished building from scratch is pretty *wow* but… we’re managing… The Final render is due in on Tuesday… so I still have a lot to do and very little time but, hopefully I’ll manage…
Enough talking! Here are some renders. Some are just the model without the textures, and then I’ve got some textured images too… I’m still working on doing the inside of the building, and then I have to put more lights in… and then animate the whole thing o_O
